Formed in 2953, the Naval Expeditionary Command (NEXC) was established as a modern, rapid-response arm of the United Empire of Earth Navy, specifically designed to address the growing instability along the frontier and within unclaimed space. The initiative was born from a classified UEE Senate defense report citing the increasing frequency of Vanduul incursions, heightened pirate coordination, and the strategic necessity for agile, multi-role fleets beyond traditional naval doctrine.
